FawkesTrot Adventures began as a seed in the mind of FawkesTrot founder, Britt, who watched her own active puppy, Fawkes, grow into an athletic, high-energy adult dog. Britt, despite her serious commitment to regular dog training and physical activity, could only just find enough time to give Fawkes the exercise she knew he deserved, during her standard work week. She loved being regularly active with him, but wondered what it might feel like to have one weekday to go to the gym without dog parent guilt, or fold laundry and watch netflix without looking into puppy-dog eyes of pure resentment. A discerning dog owner, Britt wished for something local and reputable that might provide this type of peace of mind. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, she began imagining how she might solve this problem herself, because she knew she wasn’t alone.
Brittany Pearson is the founder and lead pack handler at FawkesTrot Adventures.
Britt is wild about dogs and has reportedly been caught doing acrobatics with
her Australian Shepherd in the backyard, playing high stakes tug with a Catahoula,
and racing a doodle or two through wooded areas.
Britt mixed her canine passion with some serious sweat equity, and has conquered:
● Canine Good Neighbour and Companion Dog titles, with her partner in crime, Fawkes.
● Training with Top Dog Training Academy up to and including Intermediate Obedience.
● Experience professionally exercising groups of dogs in an off-leash environment since 2017, including 7 months working for the reputable Dog Gone Adventures in Victoria, BC.
● Walks and Wags Pet First Aid Certification.
Britt is forever pursuing new knowledge and skills in the world of dog health and behaviour,
and is thankful for her great relationship with Top Dog Training Academy, who advises and supports
her development as a handler. This pairs well with Britt’s lifetime of experience deftly navigating
the trails of Whitehorse and beyond as a competitive cross country skier and runner. She can’t wait
bring those trails to your furry adventurer.
