Britt Pearson is the founder and head pack leader at FawkesTrot Adventures. Britt is wild about dogs and has been caught doing acrobatics with her Australian Shepherd, playing high stakes tug with her Chihuahua, and racing a doodle or two through the woods. She and her dogs have achieved Canine Good Neighbour (CGN), Expert Trick Dog, Companion Dog (CD) title (obedience). Britt is a Certified Trick Dog Instructor, teaching Trick-Star and Outbound Expert Obedience classes for Top Dog Training Academy. She has been professionally exercising groups of dogs in an off-leash environment since 2017, in both Yukon and British Columbia, and has her Walks and Wags Pet First Aid Certification. Her lifetime of experience training competitively for running, cycling and cross country skiing on Whitehorse trails solidified her FawkesTrot fate.

Lauren Sailer lives and breathes everything canine. Her enthusiasm for dog-work is the reason that FawkesTrot has a team at all. She was joining Britt on adventures and volunteering to help with groups back when her frenchie Spud was just a seedling. Lauren started working with FawkesTrot in winter 2020, and we have never been the same since. Lauren has a keen eye for canine behaviour, and keeps everyone motivated and on their best behaviour. She and her dogs Cassa, Spud, and Pickle have achieved their CGN, and Advanced Trick Dog titles, and are avid talented bird hunters (okay not the frenchies). Lauren assists in classes and runs daytime programming with Top Dog Training Academy when not on the trails Skijoring and hiking with FawkesTrot. We are all lucky to have this organized, enthusiastic, on-the-ball pack leader in our lives!

Rhiannon Russell was slowly but surely head-hunted for FawkesTrot even before she had a dog of her own. In her non-dog hours she is a freelance journalist, working for publications both locally and across the continent, which is what first brought her into the woods tailing Britt and a handful of Bulldogs for what (fortunately) she saw as a pretty super lifestyle. A year down the road she found her speed-demon soul-mate Zoe, which launched her into the world of dog training and eventually into our arms. Rhiannon is an athlete (keeping up with Zo is a sport), as well as a patient, diligent, and extremely caring dog handler. Your dog will be SO excited to see her.

Terri is our newest team member. Her story, like Britt’s, starts with a whole lot of dog. Terri’s young GSP Oreo flat out demanded that she immerse herself in all things dog. There is not a dog class available that Terri and Oreo have not completed, they’ve been skipping grades and acing their marks from day one together. Terri grew up in the ski and outdoor community in Whitehorse, surrounded by other dog-obsessed friends, and can always be found out on the trail with a group of dogs on or off the clock. Terri is level-headed, understanding, gentle while confident, and your dogs will be stoked to have her on their team. Terri has her CGN and Advanced Trick Titles.
